Tottenham Hotspur are not serious about signing France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, according to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.
Andr? Villas-Boas is reportedly keen to recruit a new goalkeeper with Spurs currently dependent on Brad Friedel, aged 41, and former Chelsea shot-stopper Carlo Cudicini.
Lloris, who captained Les Bleus at Euro 2012, has been heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane this summer, but Aulas insisted the 25-year-old would not be leaving the Ligue 1 outfit unless he ?really wants? to quit the club.
?Tottenham made contact through [Lloris'] agent but there has been no concrete offer since,? Aulas said after Lyon?s victory over Montpellier in New York on Saturday.
?I don?t think they really want him, but we really want to keep him.
?He will stay at Lyon unless he absolutely wants to go. The best present we can give to the fans is finding a way to keep him. We will try to do just that.?
Lloris has made 171 appearances in four seasons at Lyon after moving to Stade de Gerland from Nice in 2008.
He has developed a reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in the world and was handed the captain?s armband for France?s 2-1 victory over England at Wembley in November 2010.
The former Nice shot-stopper was the only man to play every minute of France?s Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, keeping six clean sheets in 10 games.
He has also been linked with a move to Liverpool in July, with reports suggesting Serie A runners-up AC Milan were keen to sign the Reds? first-choice goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
