Fact check: ?Done in China?

Name:?Done in China

Race:?27th Congressional District

Synopsis:?Hochul accuses opponent Chris Collins of doing business in China, which in another context he said manipulates currency to produce cheaper goods.

Analysis: Collins haas a number of business ventures. One of these is a small company called Ingenious Products.

This company buys products and then resells them in the United States.

In the Hochul ad, they use the phrase, ?The work is done in China?. Some of products??are made in China, according to the company?s website.?However, the overall implication of the ad is that because of Collins, jobs were created in China instead of the United States. This is not accurate. Collins is simply the broker for products already made.

Conclusion: This ad mischaracterizes Collins? company, therefore is mostly false.
